About Smart Contracts

The term “smart contract” often causes confusion among the public. They think it is a blockchain function which manages legal contracts, such as employment terms and business deals. In fact, in blockchain platforms, the term “smart contract” refers to an algorithmic process, involving an “if”, “then” logic which automates transactions in the peer-to-peer network app using “digital signature” cryptography and mathematical operations. We will talk to our colleague Adela Negara to explore the concept.
